Quality Control

Quality control and assurance is a vital part of our production process. Besides the ISO 9000 quality manual we implemented, we have set up an in-house laboratory to monitor various chemical and physical parameters occur at different stages in our production. These include chemical composition analysis of our clay body, incoming materials consistency, whiteness, greenware strength, thermal expansion of our body and glaze, fire shrinkage, physical performances such as thermal shock, porosity and impact chip resistance etc. We have an internal audit team to keep track of production records and benchmark testing results.

Random tests are carried out on a daily basis by retrieving samples from our tunnel kiln in each production shift. The samples are tagged with our kiln cart identification number so that when we notice any irregularities, the batch is traceable from our production lot where we can analyze and tackle those issues in question.

Since over 90% of our products are for export to the European and American markets, our lab is equipped with testing machines to meet the most demanding products and food safety requirements. We perform microwave, dishwasher and oven tests regularly. Passing these standards is a must for all our products before shipping to our customers. In addition, the ASTM leachable lead and cadmium machine allows us to measure heavy metal content in our decorated products in accordance with various international protocols on ceramic foodware

Quality awareness has become an integral part of our staff training to the extent that even the most junior staff understands the importance of quality to our business. We are proud that all these equipments and our well defined testing procedures enable us to execute our quality standard at a supreme level. The end results lead to a lower production cost and bring value and total satisfaction to our customers.
